Interfellowship Committee

The Interfellowship Forum (IFF) is a conference attended by delegates from each of the five 12 step recovery fellowships who are primarily identified as being concerned with sexual recovery. These are SCA, SLAA, SA, SAA, and SRA. It is hosted by one of these fellowships on an annual rotating basis, and in 1998 was hosted for the first time by SLAA. It was held November 7, 8, 2000 in Waltham, MA. It was significant demographically in that it was attended by 12 delegates, the largest number yet, and also because of the presence of two delegates from SRA, a comparatively new sexual recovery fellowship based in the tri-state area, attending the IFF for the first time. We spent a lot of time working on ways to solidify the IFF process, a sign that it is really taking hold as a forum for initiatives and discussion. There was also a great deal of dialogue about similarities and differences between the 5 fellowships on a variety of different topics. It is hoped that the information gained at these forums will add to the opportunities and resources we as individual recovering people have.
